This site has information for students and professionals regarding psychological topics and news, publications, and careers in psychology. In the psychology topics section, you will find an a-z list of clickable topics that will help you find journal articles, books and videos, and news stories and press releases that are all related to the topic of your choice. You will also find under association info, a section on the divisions of APA. This section offers resources on various topics, which includes educational, school, and developmental psychology.
American School Counselor Association

The ASCA site has sections for school counselors, administrators, and parents. Under the school counseling section, there are tabs for information on professional development, publications, careers/roles, the ASCA National Model, a resource center, legal and ethical, bookstore, and message boards. You can also apply for membership to ASCA, and read about member benefits, including liability insurance.

This site offers information pertaining to students, families, and educators. Under the educators section is a collection of resources/links that cover many topic areas including bullying, crisis, diversity, wellness, emotional development, special student populations, and list of useful website links that address student issues.
National Association of Social Workers

This site offers a section that divides area of practice and lists school social work as one of the sections. To access the articles on this section of the site you must be a member. However, the site does offer the latest news articles on the homepage and also information on useful journals and books.
National Association of Elementary School Principals

While this site is oriented toward principals, it also has useful information for school counselors concerning school improvement plans, school leadership, and advocacy for students. There is also news on education issues.
National Association of Secondary School Principals

This site is for middle and high school principals. It provides strategies for leading reform in middle and high schools. In the advocate section, you will find information on reform policy, IDEA, and No Child Left Behind. In the improving skills section, there are leadership skills assessment tools.
National School Boards Association

This site includes a number of resources. There are weekly updates on school legislation, and information on communicating with members of congress. Some of the useful tools for school counselors include research on school health programs, school laws and issues pages, and information concerning school attorneys.
Parent Teachers Association (PTA)

This site is aimed at parents, but can keep counselors up to date on current issues parents are facing, and also it can help counselors address parents’ concerns in conferences and meetings. There are many parent resources available that a counselor can recommend if a parent is in need of strategies to help their child with school-related work or issues at home.
